The Opportunity
We are a worldwide leader in IP-based video communication. We are currently conducting a search for a Business Development Manager to take a hands-on role driving revenue growth of our products and services into the North American market. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, highly motivated self starter to be part of a growing and successful company.
As the ideal candidate for the Business Development Manager you will be highly skilled in building a strong pipeline, proactively creating opportunities and working with assigned Channel partners in developing net new accounts in addition to driving results within existing business. This position will be based out of Toronto or may be based remotely in the New York area for the right candidate.
The Requirements
The Business Development Manager must be able to create a level of confidence with each client and Channel Partner, becoming a trusted advisor by truly understanding the personal win-results of each level of corporate buyer while having the ability to parlay those desired outcomes into winning sales strategies and solutions that leverage service strengths. The position requires the ability to drive strong lead generation activities within the marketplace and Channel Partners, including calling into prospective accounts and development of new business within existing accounts.
Your proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, business environment while demonstrating self management, motivation and prioritization of activities will be crucial to your success in this position. You will have a minimum of five – eight years of successful sales – business development and/or channel management experience executing sales campaigns and developing new client relationships. Strong experience driving proposal strategy for major bids and unsolicited proposals is a definite requirement. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience or in-depth understanding of advanced solution and service-led technologies - particularly video communications, IP, VOIP. BA or BS college degree preferred.
